Tightrope walkers -- all of us
Trotting along the Lifewire
Mostly oblivious of it
Teetering left and tottering right
Clutching at brass rings
And marvelling at their shine
Until we fall off.
Learning a little of balance
Emboldens us to pursue
Haze-blocked distant goals
And eying the misty end
Forget joyous and saddened
Snares before our feet.
Gurus robed and baldly bearded
Sagely say to find the centre
And offer a thousand hints
Of where and how and why
And try to find we do
While the Wire bounces
Up and down.
